I found some really unique sounding jobs for healthcare professionals this month! If you’re looking to take your healthcare career in a new direction, there are plenty of unique roles out there that go beyond bedside care. Each of these positions offers something a little different, from research to teaching, consulting to remote support. Here are some of the most interesting opportunities posted this month:
When you are looking for non-clinical healthcare jobs, be open-ended in your search terms. For the pharmacy tech and radiology tech posts, my search in LinkedIn was “pharmacy (or radiology) tech remote”. I didn’t limit the search any more than that. LinkedIn has also changed their search bar and filters in the past few months. If you don’t specify, it will only search in your location. Adding “remote” opened my options for the entire country, and for positions outside of hospitals.
Sign up for emails on company job boards if you are interested in a particular company. Several of the positions above were from email lists, and I did not see them in LinkedIn. Many of the positions emailed to you will be clutter- I am a nurse, and will not be applying to a pharmacist role, yet they emailed me about them. However, they will also include positions that you are qualified for and that you may not have looked at otherwise because of an odd sounding title. For example, the Medical Information Specialist position in this article is for a pharmacist; that is typically a clerical position, not a PharmD. If I were a pharmacist looking for a job, I wouldn’t even read the description; but they sent it in their weekly email, and I wanted to know why.
Are there any positions you would like me to keep an eye out for you? Drop me a comment and let me know which jobs to feature next month!
