Soliant Healthcare, a healthcare staffing company, is currently searching for a pharmacy technician for a primarily remote position in the San Francisco Bay area. This is a contract-to-hire position within a concierge service.

I had to spotlight this position when I found it. Although I have written about concierge medical services before, this is the first time I’ve seen a company hiring pharmacy technicians! While the job description sounds a lot like what you already do, chances are you will be working with a more focused population and are going to be able to offer more personalized care.

Thinking about leaving the traditional pharmacy grind behind?

Here’s something a little different.

This Concierge Pharmacy Technician role combines the convenience of remote work with the personal touch of local service. It’s perfect for someone who loves the patient connection but needs more control over their time.

Work-from-home flexibility
Set your own schedule
Still patient-focused—but in a slower, more personalized way
Occasional in-person tasks keep it interesting (think errands, deliveries, etc.)
Temp-to-hire = try before you commit

This isn’t your typical retail or hospital role. It’s part of the growing shift toward concierge healthcare, where quality beats quantity and patients actually know your name.

If you’re a certified Pharmacy Technician who’s burnt out on the rush, this might be your fresh start.

Requirements:

  • Must be local to the area (for occasional in-person tasks)

  • Active Pharmacy Technician license with at least 1 year of experience

  • Strong communication + organizational skills

  • Comfortable working remotely and independently

How I found this position:

Scrolling on LinkedIn. I used the search term “pharmacy technician”, and set the location to the entire US. This was one of the first jobs on the list.

The lesson here is that even using general terms and a large geography can find you some niche and interesting jobs.

Some cons:

  • Part-time only- might not be ideal if you’re looking for full-time income right away

  • Must be local- despite being remote, you’ll need to run occasional errands in the area

  • Temp-to-hire- great for flexibility, but may not offer long-term stability upfront

  • Still patient-facing- if you’re trying to avoid any direct patient interaction, this isn’t it

  • No pay listed– I have no idea if the pay they are offering is even competitive. According to Indeed.com {link}, the average pharmacy technician pay in the San Francisco Bay area is $27.29 an hour, so you can use that information as a reference point in your negotiations.
