I’ve been job hunting for years, always on the lookout for positions outside of hospital or clinic settings.
I’m still surprised at what I come across.
If you’re looking for a fresh take on nursing that doesn’t involve 12-hour shifts, bodily fluids, or constant burnout, and also want something part time, this is definitely a cool option. Milan Laser Hair Removal, a growing company specializing in aesthetic treatments, is currently hiring part-time Registered Nurses to join their team in Matthews, NC.
Now, I know this is a very local position I’m highlighting this week, but Milan Laser Hair Removal has offices all over the US.
I saw MANY different positions open on Milan’s career page for LPNs, RNs, NPs, and PAs- both full time and part time. There are also opportunities in sales and management if that is a direction you’d like to explore.
If your local office isn’t hiring right now, follow them on Facebook, Instagram, and most importantly, LinkedIn to stay in the loop.
Let’s break down what this role looks like and whether it might be the non-clinical reset you’ve been waiting for.
As a laser hair removal nurse, you’ll use state-of-the-art laser equipment to perform treatments on clients looking for medical or aesthetic hair-free skin. But it’s not just zapping people with a laser — your responsibilities include:
Performing in-person consultations to assess treatment needs
Educating clients on laser hair removal and aftercare, as well as providing pre- and post-treatment care
Performing treatments using FDA-cleared laser technology
Documenting procedures and ensuring safety protocols
Providing top-tier customer service in a clinical-yet-spa-like setting
This role blends nursing with beauty, aesthetics, and wellness — and it’s a great option if you love hands-on patient care but are done with bedside chaos.
While Milan doesn’t list a specific rate in the job post, nurses in similar roles at aesthetic clinics typically earn between $30–$40/hour, sometimes more depending on location and experience according to Indeed.com. Some positions include bonuses or commissions (and yes, even the clinical positions include commission) for client retention or treatment packages per the job description.
No bedside lifting, call, or working nights or holidays
Clients are generally healthy and happy to see you
Trendy, modern work environment
Free laser hair removal for you and your partner
Laser certification for your state
Training is provided, but it’s a niche skill — be ready to learn.
You’ll need to be comfortable with sales, upselling packages, and client education. The upside? Clients want to be there, and want to buy the services.
The pace can be fast, especially in busy clinics
