  1. I wish your blog was around during my undergrad college years. I don’t think direct patient care is my thing. But some of these none clinical careers look interesting. I am sure your blog will be guide to those who needs help directing their career paths.

    1. Wow thank you! Tell your mom and sister I said CONGRATULATIONS!!! Nursing school is hard and they deserve all the kudos:)

  2. This is such a great compilation of resources! This what I like about careers! My Dad always used to tell me there is a huge difference between a job and a career. A career offers more options! You can pack up and move anywhere and you’d have work waiting for you! I had one doctor who left the United States and moved to Africa! A nurse can do the same thing! Being a nurse is a very special career though! Patients skeet the nurse before they see the doctor, and in some cases even spend more time with the nurses before seeing the doctor. Meeting a kind nurse makes a huge difference. I remember a friend of mine was getting a procedure done and she was very nervous. Then she met the nurse. The was so kind that she made my friend feel at ease. The nurse happened to be a relative of mine.

    1. Thank you! The biggest problem about careers in healthcare, though, is that people think their only option is patient care. Patient care is great, but can be very hard and wearing, both physically and emotionally. People need to know that they have options, so my hope is that this will be a resource for people.
